4 Ingredient Strawberry Cream Pie

August 1, 2018 By: emilyschardt@hotmail.comcomment

July is the time when Strawberries are fresh and on sale in the stores.  I made this pie the first time when Aldi’s had strawberries on sale for 99 cents.  Needless to say,I left the store with more than one carton.  And you can get all these ingredients at Aldi if you want.

Total cost for one pie was $5.

This is not a dish that tastes better the next day, but I don’t think you will have any leftovers after you make this for the first time.

4 Ingredient Strawberry Cream Pie

  • 1 frozen pie crust, defrosted in refridgerator
  • 2 cartons of fresh strawberries
  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 can of whipped cream
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

Prick the pie crust with a fork all over and place in the oven on a sheet pan. Bake for 15 minutes, but before the crust gets golden.  Remove from oven and sprinkle crust and cool for 10 minutes.

While pie crust is cooking and cooling, hull and chop up strawberries in to large bite size pieces.  Place them in a large bowl.

When all strawberries are chopped, sprinkle with the sugar and gently toss. Place in the refrigerator to chill until the pie crust is cooled completely.

Right before serving, fill the baked and cooled pie crust with the strawberry sugar mixture and then evenly spray the whipped cream on top.  Serve immediately.
